Crowd77 Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Crowd77 ("Crowd77", "we", "us", "our"), a donation-based crowdfunding platform owned and operated by 77 Technologies Limited, located at 4 Agbeleye Close,, off Aderupoko Street, Ahmadiya, Ijaiye, Lagos, Nigeria.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our services, including our website, applications, payment services, and related features. By accessing or using Crowd77, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you must discontinue use of the Crowd77 platform immediately.

1. Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
Users acting on behalf of organizations or beneficiaries must have the authority to do so.
Crowd77 reserves the right to verify identities before allowing access to fundraising or withdrawal features.

2. Nature of the Platform

Crowd77 is a donation-based crowdfunding platform only.
Crowd77 does not provide investment services, equity crowdfunding, lending, or financial returns to donors.
Donations made through the platform are voluntary.

3. Account Registration and Security

Users must provide accurate and current information during registration.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and two-factor authentication (2FA) methods.
Users must immediately notify Crowd77 of unauthorized access or suspicious activity.

4. KYC and Identity Verification

To maintain platform security and comply with regulatory obligations, Crowd77 may require users, fundraiser organizers, beneficiaries, or organization representatives to complete identity verification processes.
Users agree that Crowd77 may request government-issued identification documents, conduct facial verification, verify bank account ownership, perform AML and sanctions screening, and require re-verification after profile updates.
Failure to complete verification may result in fundraiser suspension, withdrawal restrictions, or account limitation or termination.
Crowd77 reserves the right to reject or revoke verification status at its discretion.

5. Fundraiser Creation and Responsibilities

Fundraiser organizers must provide truthful and accurate information.
Organizers are responsible for ensuring that donations are used for the stated purpose of the fundraiser.
Crowd77 reserves the right to request supporting documentation, beneficiary verification, or additional evidence at any time.

6. Beneficiaries and Fund Disbursement

Fundraisers may be created for the organizer or another beneficiary.
Where funds are intended for another beneficiary, Crowd77 may require verification of the beneficiary and their bank account before disbursement.
Crowd77 reserves the right to determine the appropriate recipient of funds in the event of fraud or disputes.

7. Donations

Donations made through Crowd77 are voluntary contributions to fundraisers created by users of the platform.
Donations are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where Crowd77 determines that fraud, misuse, unauthorized activity, or platform policy violations have occurred.
Crowd77 does not guarantee that fundraiser organizers will use donations exactly as described.
Donors are solely responsible for determining the suitability and legitimacy of a fundraiser before donating.
Crowd77 reserves the right to freeze donated funds, reverse transactions, refund donors, or hold disbursements during investigations where fraud, suspicious activity, policy violations, or legal concerns are identified.

8. Verification Badges

Crowd77 may provide verification badges to selected fundraisers after additional checks are completed.
Verification does not guarantee legitimacy, success, or proper use of donations.
Verification may include identity verification, document review, beneficiary validation, and physical verification where applicable.
A verification badge does not constitute a guarantee of legitimacy, endorsement by Crowd77, or assurance that donations will be used exactly as described.
Donors should independently assess all fundraisers before contributing.

9. Fraud Prevention and Investigations

Crowd77 reserves the right to investigate any fundraiser, donation, account, or transaction suspected of fraud, misrepresentation, unauthorized activity, financial crime, or policy violations.
During investigations, Crowd77 may suspend fundraisers, freeze withdrawals, restrict account access, request additional documentation, reverse or refund transactions, and report matters to regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies.
Users agree to cooperate fully with investigations.

10. Prohibited Activities

Users may not use Crowd77 for illegal, fraudulent, violent, discriminatory, deceptive, or harmful activities.
This includes terrorism financing, money laundering, hate speech, scams, Ponzi schemes, offers of investment, lending, equity crowdfunding, or any financial return to donors, or fundraising for prohibited goods or services.
Crowd77 reserves the right to remove any fundraiser or account violating these rules.

11. Fees

Crowd77 may charge platform fees, payment processing fees, withdrawal fees, or KYC verification fees.
Applicable fees will be disclosed before charges are applied.

12. Suspension and Termination

Crowd77 reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate user accounts or fundraisers where policies are violated, fraud is suspected, KYC requirements are not met, or legal risks are identified.
Suspension may include freezing donations or withdrawals pending investigation.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

By using Crowd77, users consent to the collection and processing of personal data in accordance with theCrowd77 Privacy Policy.
Information may be shared with payment processors, KYC providers, compliance partners, or regulators where required.

14. Limitation of Liability

Crowd77 acts solely as a technology platform connecting fundraiser organizers and donors.
Crowd77 does not guarantee fundraiser success, guarantee use of funds, endorse fundraisers, or assume responsibility for organizer conduct.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crowd77 shall not be liable for donation losses, fundraiser misuse, indirect damages, user disputes, or claims arising from use of the platform.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

16. Amendments

Crowd77 reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Updated versions will be published on the platform. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
